Hi,

My name is Amy, and I am an enthusiastic animal portrait artist.

For as long as I can remember I've always loved drawing. I started out doing basic pencil drawings, mostly of cartoon animals before learning new and different techniques via YouTube tutorials which helped improve my line drawings, colouring and shading.

I played around over the years with various materials such as graded pencils, pads and paints, acrylics; but it wasn't until I discovered pastels that I truly found my niche.

I spend hours watching online tutorials, practising and striving to perfect different techniques such as the minute details of a kitten's twinkling eyes or the very fine tips of a puppy's soft fur.

I've now reached a stage in my art with a level of confidence that has inspired me to start focusing specifically on animal and pet portraits.

We have five adorable cats who just take every opportunity to strike a pose, and I love to make them the focus of much of my work. And with our wider family all being animal lovers, I've had no shortage of fur, fluff and feather to add to my portfolio.

Several of my family members have commissioned portraits of their beloved pets, and knowing how much they love their fur-babies, it helps me to channel that love and enthusiasm into my work.

Pet portraits are a wonderful gift and keepsake for pet owners; even more so if their pet has passed on.

If you would like to see examples of my pet portrait work, be sure to click through to my gallery where you will also find more of my animals and wildlife art.

Your feedback and comments are always welcome and appreciated.

Much love,

Amy ~X~
